Agriculture Industry Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Action Plan
This Action Plan has been developed by the joint agricultural Climate Change Task Force (NFU, CLA and AIC) in consultation with the Industry Partnership below. The Action Plan represents a firm statement of intent that the agriculture industry will play its part in ensuring progress towards the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions as required by the Climate Change Act (2008). Includes the draft action plan (2010) and delivery plan (2011). NFU, CLA and AIC, 4 April 2011.

ARCHIVE: Fertiliser Industry Assurance Scheme (FIAS)
Fertiliser Industry Assurance Scheme (FIAS) covers the areas of fertiliser assurance, security and traceability in the fertiliser industry supply chain. The scheme was launched on 9 January 2005. The areas covered include storage/ports, transport, merchanting, manufacturing and importing. AIC, 2005.

The Fertiliser Industry Assurance Scheme (FIAS) covers the areas of fertiliser assurance, security and traceability in the fertiliser industry supply chain. The scheme was launched on 9 January 2005. The areas covered include storage/ports, transport, merchanting, manufacturing and importing. These updated documents were produced in 2012. AIC, 2012.
ARCHIVE: Fluid Fertilisers - The 1998 Code of Practice for the Prevention of Water Pollution from the Storage and Handling of Fluid Fertilisers
This document has been archived at the request of the AIC, as it is now considered out of date. Updated guidance is due in 2015. Industry Code of Practice by the Fertiliser Manufacturers Association (FMA) now AIC. It discusses the responsibilities of users and suppliers. Published in 1998. Biobeds Design Manual and Site Checklist
Biobed treatment systems help reduce the chemical washed from sprayer loading areas & lost into the environment. This document will help select the most appropriate type of biobed and will assist in the preparation of the specification, construction and use for such an area, guiding the user on management principles for efficient operation of the area and final disposal of any discharge. A checklist for potential sites is also included. CPA and AIC as part of the VI, 2005.
Fertiliser Industry Assurance Scheme (FIAS) Standards (2016)
FIAS covers the assurance of all fertilisers intended for agriculture, horticulture, forestry, amenity and any other such commercial use. It does not apply to fertilisers packaged for home garden use. The issues and the risks vary according to the type of fertiliser and it is for this reason that the entire scheme has adopted a “Risk Assessment” approach to achieving the necessary level of assurance.

Fertiliser: British Survey of Fertiliser Practice
The British Survey of Fertiliser Practice is an annual survey to estimate average application rates of nitrogen, phosphate and potash used for agricultural crops and grassland. Information is also collected on applications of sulphur fertilisers, organic manures and lime. Published by the AIC (formerly FMA).

This advice has been developed by the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO), the Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC) , National Farmers Unions and DEFRA. It provides safe storage and handling of fertiliser advice. This is particularly important regarding recent terrorist threats. June, 2008.
